Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker steps down effective immediately

Chad Brinker has stepped down as the Tennessee Titans’ president of football operations, effective immediately, the club said Tuesday.

Brinker, who took on the role in 2024, said in a team statement that he wants to return to more personnel-focused work and pursue other opportunities.

Brinker oversaw the entire football staff and reported directly to controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk. During his tenure, he led the search that resulted in the hiring of current general manager Mike Borgonzi in 2025.

Brinker joined the Titans in 2023 as an assistant general manager, with a focus on salary-cap management and using analytics to support player acquisition and talent evaluation.

The team said he helped expand its analytics department, including establishing a multi-department data group intended to integrate data-driven insights across football operations.

Brinker’s departure is the latest leadership change for a Titans organization that has seen significant turnover in key roles in recent years, including multiple changes at general manager and head coach since December 2022.
