Brighton routs Palace 5-0 as Manchester United winless run hits six

Manchester United’s winless streak extended to six matches on Sunday following a 1-1 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road. The result leaves the club 13th in the Premier League table, three points behind seventh-placed Leeds.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for United in the 35th minute after meeting a delivery from Youri Tielemans. Leeds equalized shortly after half-time when Dominic Calvert-Lewin capitalized on a loose ball following a corner. The six-match winless run marks the club's longest such sequence since the 2018-19 season.

Diego Gomez scored from 51 metres

Brighton and Hove Albion secured a 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace, climbing to second place in the league. Diego Gomez scored from 51 metres, a distance Opta noted as the longest-range goal in the Premier League since November 2017. Brighton’s other goals came from a Jaydee Canvot own goal, Yasin Ayari, Charalampos Kostoulas, and Jack Hinshelwood.

Bournemouth registered their first league win of the season with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Sunderland. Marcus Tavernier scored in the sixth minute before Sunderland defender Kevin Danso was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity. Evanilson added a second goal in the 47th minute after intercepting a back-pass, moving Bournemouth out of the relegation zone.
