NFL to Release 2026 Schedule May 14 The National Football League (NFL) will release its full 2026 regular season schedule on May 14 at 8 p.m. ET. This announcement confirms the schedule will not be delayed, providing clarity for the upcoming season.
The 2026 season will feature a record nine international games. Key matchups already confirmed include the San Francisco 49ers versus the Los Angeles Rams in Australia on Thursday, September 10, marking the NFL's first game in that country. Additionally, the Baltimore Ravens will play the Dallas Cowboys in Brazil on September 27, the league's first game in Rio de Janeiro. Other international host cities include Paris, Mexico City, London (two games), Munich, and Madrid.
The opening week will also include a Wednesday night game on September 9, featuring the Seattle Seahawks as the home team. This marks only the second time in 75 years the NFL has opened its season on a Wednesday. The 2026 schedule will also include a Christmas tripleheader, with two games broadcast on Netflix and one in prime time on Fox.
