Signature Theatre Reveals 2026–27 Season: Six Musicals and Two Plays in Its 37th Year

Signature Theatre, the long‑running professional company across the Potomac in Arlington, has announced its 2026–27 season. The company's 37th season features a slate of eight mainstage productions: six musicals and two plays. Signature's season highlights include a newly commissioned world‑premiere musical, a regional premiere musical, and a Washington‑area premiere of a play, the company said in its May 6 announcement.

The lineup continues Signature's mix of new work and revivals that has helped make the theatre a regular stop for audiences across the broader Washington metropolitan area. The company did not publish full production titles, casting, or ticketing details in the announcement; it said further information will follow in the months ahead. The season announcement was posted on Signature Theatre's website on May 6, 2026.
