Truecaller ad sales fall 12% on constant-currency basis
Premium and business lines grew from a year earlier, but preliminary EBITDA margin narrowed to 31.8% from 34.7%.

Truecaller put third-quarter revenue at SEK 464 million in a preliminary, unaudited Oct. 19 announcement, as advertising revenue fell 12% year on year in constant currencies.
Truecaller’s sales were 1% below the SEK 467.9 million reported in the third quarter of 2025, though they rose 18% from the second quarter of 2026.
Advertising remained the weakest of Truecaller’s three main revenue lines. The company estimated ad revenue at SEK 245.6 million, down 15% in Swedish kronor from a year earlier and 12% in constant currencies, which strip out exchange-rate effects.
The other two lines expanded from the year-earlier period. Premium revenue rose 32% to SEK 127.1 million, while Truecaller for Business reached SEK 85.1 million, up 6% in kronor and 14% in constant currencies.
Chief Executive Rishit Jhunjhunwala said all three revenue streams increased from the second quarter, calling the pattern “positive momentum.” Advertising revenue rose 23% from the prior quarter, and Truecaller for Business increased 15% over the same period.
Truecaller estimated EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, at SEK 147.6 million excluding non-recurring items related to the TextPlus acquisition. That was 6% lower year on year in constant currencies and 68% higher than in the second quarter.
The preliminary EBITDA margin narrowed to 31.8% from 34.7% a year earlier. Excluding incentive costs and non-recurring items, the margin was 37.4%, compared with 39.8% in the third quarter of 2025.
The company said it continued moving more advertising activity onto its own platform and auction system. It also said Business Messaging volumes were above year-earlier levels after a shift to a multi-partner model.
Truecaller’s second-quarter report had linked part of the advertising weakness to its largest partner, saying revenue tied to that relationship had been much lower since the middle of the third quarter of 2025. The company said that partner removed an inventory restriction near the end of the second quarter of 2026.
The Oct. 19 figures are preliminary and unaudited, leaving the final quarterly accounts to confirm the sales mix, acquisition-related exclusions and margin position.
