Seahawks unveil 2026 schedule with Super Bowl rematch, six prime-time games

The Seattle Seahawks released their 2026 NFL regular-season schedule on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Seattle opens on Wednesday, September 9, at Lumen Field against the New England Patriots in a rematch of a past Super Bowl. The slate features a franchise-record six prime-time games, five of them at home, and the team will play on every day of the week except Tuesday. The schedule also includes a Christmas Day meeting with the Los Angeles Rams and a season finale at SoFi Stadium on January 9 or 10.

The Wednesday opener serves as the NFL’s official season kickoff and anchors a heavy national-television lineup. The Christmas game against the Rams is one of two meetings with Los Angeles in the final three weeks, followed by the potential division-shaping finale in Inglewood. Seattle will also play a stand-alone Saturday afternoon game on December 19 at Philadelphia.

In 2026, NFC teams host nine home games and play eight on the road; Seattle’s slate follows that format. The Seahawks face 10 opponents that reached last season’s playoffs, tying for the most in the league and underscoring one of the tougher schedules on paper.

Prime-time slate and marquee dates

Five of Seattle’s six prime-time dates are at home, including a Sunday night matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs on October 25 and a Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys on December 7. A Monday night meeting with the Chicago Bears is set for November 2. The schedule also includes the franchise’s first regular-season trip to Las Vegas to face the Raiders on November 15.

Seattle’s opener against New England revives a familiar high-stakes storyline. The Patriots and Seahawks previously met for the NFL title, and the league has placed their rematch in the spotlight to launch the season.

Divisional stretch and travel blocks

Within the NFC West, Seattle returns to Levi’s Stadium on November 29 for the second of two meetings with the San Francisco 49ers, following the October 11 game at Lumen Field. The Rams appear twice late, on December 25 in Seattle and in the season-ending trip to SoFi Stadium on January 9 or 10.

The midseason features three straight home games against the Chiefs, Bears and Cardinals, offering a chance to build momentum before a road-heavy finish. Seattle starts with two of its first three on the road and closes with three of its final four away from home.

Bye week and additional notes

The bye falls in Week 11 on Sunday, November 22, later than last season’s Week 8 break. Team officials also indicated Seattle will not play an international game this season, keeping all travel domestic.

Among the notable matchups, the Chiefs bring Patrick Mahomes to Lumen Field in late October, while Dallas returns to Seattle for a December Monday night showcase. The Giants visit on December 13 in what would be the first head-to-head meeting between Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald and his mentor John Harbaugh, who is taking over in New York after 18 years in Baltimore.

Chicago’s visit sets up a reunion with safety Coby Bryant on November 2. The Raiders game also reunites Seattle with former offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
