Jackson, who negotiated his previous deals without an agent, has not finalized a new agreement with the Ravens, who have publicly expressed a desire to extend his contract.
The current impasse follows Jackson's 2023 contract, which initially made him the highest-paid player but has since seen his compensation fall relative to the market. Jackson is currently under contract for two more years, with a total remaining value of $105 million. While this amount is not fully guaranteed, his position as a franchise quarterback minimizes the risk of release.
The absence of an agent and a preference for secrecy from Jackson's side have characterized past negotiations, including a 2025 collusion grievance that cited communication issues.
