Frontier Plane Strikes Person on Denver Runway A Frontier Airlines Airbus A321 aircrasources struck an individual on a runway at Denver International Airport during takeoff on Friday at approximately 11:19 PM local time. The incident, involving Frontier Flight 4345 bound for Los Angeles, resulted in an engine fire and prompted an emergency evacuation of the 224 passengers and seven crew members.

Following the impact, the pilot reported hitting a person and an engine fire to air traffic control, subsequently initiating an evacuation due to smoke in the cabin. Passengers were safely evacuated via slides and transported to the terminal by bus. The condition of the individual struck by the aircrasources has not been disclosed by airport authorities or the airline.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has been notified and will investigate the incident. Runway 17L, where the event occurred, remains closed. This incident follows two other recent aviation-related occurrences in the United States, including a Delta Airlines employee fatality at Orlando International Airport on Thursday and a United Airlines plane clipping ground vehicles at Newark on May 3.
