France has formalized its 2023-2027 Global Health Strategy, prioritizing the restructuring of international health governance and the advancement of universal health coverage. The framework emphasizes the 'One Health' approach, integrating human, animal, and environmental health to improve pandemic preparedness and mitigate the health impacts of climate change.
Institutional alignment with the World Health Organization remains a central pillar of the policy. France has committed to supporting ongoing governance and financing reforms within the organization to ensure its continued central role in global health management.
Operational implementation will be overseen by a multi-stakeholder monitoring committee comprising public agencies, research institutions, and the private sector. As part of this strategic shift, France will host an international financing conference in early 2024 focused on the eradication of meningitis, signaling a move toward targeted, high-level health diplomacy.
