Forbes: Real Madrid Most Valuable Club, Sets Revenue Record

Real Madrid has reclaimed the top spot on Forbes' list of the world's most valuable football teams, driven by a record-breaking annual sporting revenue. The Spanish giants generated an unprecedented $1.27 billion during the 2024-25 season.

This figure surpasses the previous record of $1.23 billion set by the Dallas Cowboys in 2024, establishing a new benchmark for annual revenue for any sports franchise, as measured by Forbes. This achievement solidifies Real Madrid's consistent dominance in financial terms within the sport.

Financial Dominance Amidst On-Field Challenges

Despite recent seasons falling short of their own high standards, with no major trophies secured at the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid continues to excel financially. This latest valuation places them not only at the pinnacle of global football but across all sports.

The club's total valuation now stands at an impressive $9.5 billion. This figure places them a significant $2 billion ahead of their fierce rivals, Barcelona, who are ranked second on the list.

La Liga Giants Lead, Premier League Shows Strength

Barcelona also posted remarkable financial results, being the only other football club besides Real Madrid to exceed $1 billion in annual revenue, excluding player transfers. This highlights the financial powerhouses within La Liga.

However, the Premier League demonstrates substantial depth in its financial standing. Out of the top 30 most valuable teams globally, an impressive 11 clubs hail from England's top flight.

This strong financial backing from the Premier League may contribute to the recent success of English clubs in European competitions. Teams from England have secured the last two Europa League and Conference League titles, with Arsenal contending for the Champions League this Saturday.
