Egyptian Court Sentences TV Host, 11 Others to Death

A criminal court in Cairo has sentenced television presenter Sarah Khalifa and eleven other individuals to death by hanging. The verdict, announced on Saturday, follows their conviction on charges related to large-scale drug trafficking. Beyond the capital sentences, the court imposed life imprisonment on nine other defendants involved in the case. Additionally, seven individuals who were part of the initial group of 28 defendants were acquitted of all charges.
