Beckham, 33, was selected 12th overall by the Giants in the 2014 NFL Draft and delivered one of the most prolific rookie seasons in league history with 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns, earning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. He made three Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams in five seasons with New York before being traded to the Cleveland Browns following the 2018 campaign. He later joined the Los Angeles Rams, contributing to their Super Bowl victory.

Injuries shaped the middle stretch of Beckham’s career, including two ACL tears — the second occurring during the Rams’ Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 and posted 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns. Beckham appeared in nine games for Miami in 2024 and remained unsigned last season while serving a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

Giants address depleted receiver group

New York’s receiver depth was stretched by spring injuries, leaving the team with limited healthy options entering this week. With seven practices scheduled over the next 10 days, adding experienced wideouts became a roster priority. Smith-Schuster and Berrios also participated in Monday’s workout before agreeing to one-year contracts, league sources said. Beckham worked out for the Giants earlier this spring and underwent a physical in the lead-up to the NFL Draft. Head coach John Harbaugh — who coached Beckham in Baltimore in 2023 — had indicated after the draft that the sides would remain in contact as the veteran assessed his readiness.
