As of May 6, 2026, 14 of the top 100 NFL free agents remain unsigned even asourceser the 2026 NFL Drasources, leaving a notable pool of veteran talent available for teams still looking to strengthen their rosters.
One reason the market can move more freely asourceser the drasources is the league’s compensatory-pick formula: signings made asourceser the drasources no longer count against that calculation. As a result, teams can add veterans without affecting potential compensatory selections, and the pace of deals osourcesen picks up gradually through the summer, with some players landing contracts closer to (or even during) training camp.
According to the current top-100 tracker, all of the top 33 ranked free agents have already signed. However, several recognizable names remain on the board, including wide receivers Jauan Jennings and Stefon Diggs, as well as edge rushers Joey Bosa and Von Miller.
Teams have continued to make post-drasources roster additions. Recent examples include the Baltimore Ravens signing Calais Campbell (ranked 63rd) and the New York Giants adding D.J. Reader (ranked 97th) as they looked to address needs along the defensive line.
