148 Companies Cleared for IPOs in India

Data showed 148 companies have regulator clearance to list in India, collectively valued at about ₹2.8 lakh crore, creating an unusually large pipeline of supply for equity markets. Reaction pending.

Queue totals ₹2.8 lakh crore

The filing cadence has accelerated: 27 mainboard IPOs raised ₹22,572 crore in the first half of 2026, and 61 offers are slated to raise roughly ₹88,000 crore between July and September, data showed. Those figures leave a deep backlog of approvals that could translate into sustained issuance if market windows stay open.

Market liquidity and demand will determine sequencing. If large megadeals proceed first, they are likely to absorb spare cash and investor allocation, compressing appetite for smaller listings; if demand broadens, mid‑sized and small offers may find buyers. Pricing pressure on smaller issues is the primary transmission mechanism: heavy supply in a short window tends to push offer pricing wider or delay launches.

If 10–15 IPOs a week come to market, then by November 30, 2026, roughly 90–135 additional deals could list, testing secondary‑market liquidity and underwriting capacity. Watch subscription patterns, anchor investor participation and any shifts in domestic mutual fund buying as near‑term indicators of whether the market can digest the pipeline.
