Prosecutors sent 21 suspects to a magistrate court on Sept. 24, 2026, seeking detention in an Istanbul stock-market fraud probe; market reaction is pending.
21 suspects referred to magistrate
Officials said the suspects were brought to Çağlayan courthouse after their statements were taken by the chief prosecutor’s financial-crimes bureau. The list of those referred for detention includes 21 named individuals; previous hearings in the same inquiry have already resulted in 26 people being jailed, officials said.
Investigators have sought corporate and transaction records from national financial intelligence units, the prosecutor’s office said. A Sept. 17 formal request sought account, transfer and crypto-asset data for executives of Pusula Finans Holding AŞ, Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler AŞ, Hedef Holding AŞ and Bulls Yatırım Menkul Değerler AŞ and related subsidiaries, the file shows.
Prior executive arrests in probe
The inquiry has led to detention of several senior executives, the prosecutor’s office said, including named board members and portfolio managers from the companies under review. Some individuals who were questioned earlier were released pending further process, officials added.
Officials said the magistrate court must rule on the detention requests within 24 hours, so decisions are likely by Sept. 25, 2026. Market participants will watch listed stocks and trading volumes for signs of wider investor reaction.
