The reported PS5 and Xbox Series X|S pricing lands below $150 rumours, with a $99.99 Ultimate Edition and a Nov. 19 launch date.

Rockstar sets GTA VI standard edition at $79.99

Rockstar Games set Grand Theft Auto VI at $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, ET Now reported in an Oct. 18 technology article.

The price matters because ET Now said Take-Two’s $8 billion to $8.2 billion fiscal 2027 net-bookings guidance rests on the Nov. 19 release, below rumours of a $150 tag.

ET Now cited gaming outlets saying Rockstar disclosed the prices on June 24 and opened pre-orders on June 25. The article said both editions cost the same on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PC version announced.

Pre-orders placed before Nov. 20 include the Vintage Vice City Pack, according to the report. Digital pre-orders also include one month of GTA+, Rockstar’s subscription service for Grand Theft Auto players.

The game has had two delays, ET Now reported: it was first aimed at 2025, then moved in May 2025 to May 26, 2026, before being shifted in November 2025 to Nov. 19, 2026. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed that date on a May 21 earnings call, according to the report.

Rockstar released a 90-second launch trailer on Oct. 15 focused on protagonists Lucia and Jason, ET Now said. The game is the first mainline Grand Theft Auto release since GTA V in 2013.
