Global Oil Prices Decline Amid Geopolitical De-escalation and Increased Supply

Global oil prices have declined following a reduction in geopolitical tensions regarding Iran and an increase in fuel exports from China. These factors have effectively offset supply concerns stemming from the suspension of operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico due to Hurricane Isaias.

Energy production in the Gulf of Mexico has been curtailed by approximately 1.3 million barrels of oil and 1.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day. Personnel have been evacuated from 121 production platforms, accounting for 33% of the region's manned infrastructure.

State of emergency declarations remain in effect for Florida, Alabama, and Georgia as the storm progresses. Despite the localized production halt, the broader market remains focused on the stabilization of international supply chains and the easing of regional conflict risks.
