Maui Chamber to Host 2026 Small Business Awards on Oct. 21

The Maui Chamber of Commerce will host the 2026 Mayor’s Small Business Awards on October 21 at the King Kamehameha Golf Club Waikapu Ballroom, recognizing outstanding local enterprises.

Registration is mandatory for the event, which the Chamber describes as an “Academy Awards-style” ceremony. Tickets are available through MauiChamber.com, priced at $125 per person if purchased by October 9. After this date, ticket costs will increase to $150.

The awards target businesses with 100 or fewer employees, evaluating criteria such as leadership in a dynamic economic environment, quality work environments, customer service reflecting the “Aloha Spirit,” and community partnerships.

Specific award categories include the “Exceptional Small Business of the Year” for companies with 10 or fewer employees, and the “Young Small Businessperson of the Year” for individuals under 40 as of September 19, 2024. A “Lifetime Achievement Award” will honor businesses operating in Maui County for over two decades with up to 100 employees.
