Google is offering preorder incentives for its new Fitbit Air, a $99.99 screenless fitness tracker that launches May 26. Depending on the retailer, buyers can get a free extra band or store credit to put toward one.

The Fitbit Air is Google’s first Fitbit release in four years. It tracks activity, sleep and basic health metrics such as heart rate and breathing rate without requiring a paid subscription. Google also offers optional Gemini AI-powered features for $9.99 per month.

    Preorder offers by retailer

Amazon preorders allow customers to choose a free silicone band in white or black, in small or large sizes. Amazon lists the Fitbit Air in berry, blue or black color options.

Best Buy preorders include a free small, black silicone band added automatically at checkout.

Customers who preorder directly from the Google Store receive a $35 store credit when the preorder ships, which can be used to buy a band of their choice.

    Compatibility and upcoming app

The Fitbit Air works with both iOS and Android phones. The launch also coincides with Google’s planned release of a new Google Health app for iOS and Android, aimed at providing more personalized health metrics.
