4.1 Quake Hits Southern Lebanon After Ridge Blasts

A 4.1-magnitude earthquake was registered in southern Lebanon on Thursday following large explosions on the Ali al-Taher ridge, officials said.

Officials said the blasts occurred during strikes that targeted underground tunnel infrastructure and that the explosions followed use of heavy explosives; no independent verification of the explosive tonnage was available at the time of the report.
