Prosecutors Allege Abuse Images in D4vd Case

Prosecutors in Los Angeles, California, said on Thursday that singer David Anthony Burke, who performs as D4vd, had what they described as a significant amount of child sex abuse images stored on his phone and in his iCloud account at the time of his arrest.

Officials said the material was identified through search warrants carried out during an ongoing investigation into the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Hernandez’s dismembered body was found in Burke’s Tesla in September 2025, prosecutors said.

Burke has pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges. Those charges include continuous sexual abuse of a child and mutilation of remains, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors contend Burke repeatedly sexually abused the teenager before killing and dismembering her. They also allege the actions were taken to protect his music career, officials said.

Burke’s attorneys have said he is innocent of the murder allegation. They have not yet commented on the newly disclosed claims involving child sex abuse imagery, according to the statement from prosecutors.

Officials said no additional criminal charges have been filed specifically tied to the images described on Thursday. The allegations were presented as part of the broader investigative record connected to Hernandez’s death.

Hernandez was reported missing by her family after she was last seen at Burke’s Hollywood Hills home on April 3, 2025, prosecutors said. Her body was found five months later, according to the same account.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined Hernandez died in a homicide caused by multiple penetrating injuries. The medical examiner also confirmed her body was dismembered and heavily decomposed, officials said.

Two court hearings are scheduled for next week in the case, prosecutors said. The investigation remains ongoing, and the status of any potential future charges related to the imagery allegations was not specified.
