Sentebale Sues Harry Over Memoir Claims

Britain’s Prince Harry is facing a defamation lawsuit brought by Sentebale, the African charity he co-founded, over statements published in his memoir, ‘Spare’ . The claim was initiated in London and targets passages the charity says have harmed its reputation and affected its operations.

Sentebale’s legal representatives have filed the case in the High Court. The charity is seeking damages as well as an injunction aimed at stopping further dissemination of the material it alleges is defamatory.

Sentebale was established in 2006 by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. The organisation’s work is focused on supporting vulnerable children and young people affected by HIV/AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana.
