Peloton Targets Commercial Gym Market Peloton Interactive Inc. announced on Monday, March 16, 2026, the launch of its Commercial Series Bike and Tread products, specifically designed for high-traffic gym environments. This strategic expansion aims to diversify Peloton's revenue streams and address slowing consumer sales by penetrating the multibillion-dollar commercial fitness market.
The new Commercial Series equipment, developed in partnership with Precor, which Peloton acquired in 2021, is engineered for durability in demanding commercial settings. Shipments are scheduled to commence in late 2026, with initial availability in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany, Australia, and Austria. This initiative leverages Precor's existing commercial distribution network across over 60 countries, facilitating international scaling of Peloton's hardware and digital platform.
This move follows Peloton's establishment of a commercial unit in 2025 and existing partnerships with hotel chains like Hyatt and Hilton. The company's commercial business unit demonstrated a 10% revenue increase in the last quarter, contrasting with a 3% decline in overall company sales. The expansion into gyms represents a critical effort to bolster growth amid challenges in consumer sales and the reception of its AI-driven product line, Peloton IQ.
