NITI to review industrial corridor framework

NITI Aayog has launched a review of the institutional and implementation framework that governs industrial corridors, industrial parks and integrated manufacturing ecosystems, Officials said. The move seeks to identify bottlenecks and recommend reforms to accelerate project delivery and improve investor experience, and a stakeholder consultation is scheduled for the week of July 19–25, 2026, Officials said.

The review is being carried out under the guidance of the High-Level Committee on Implementation of Viksit Bharat Goals, chaired by NITI Aayog member Rajiv Gauba, Officials said. The committee was constituted to monitor key development programmes and infrastructure projects and to recommend measures to speed up implementation.

Officials said the consultation will focus on five broad areas, beginning with project planning; the available notice did not list the remaining topics. The exercise aims to surface policy, regulatory, institutional and implementation changes that could shorten timelines, simplify approvals and improve investor due diligence processes.

Market and sector implications will depend on the reforms recommended.

If the review yields shorter approval cycles and clearer land and utility

frameworks, equities in infrastructure, construction and listed developers could attract renewed investor interest; if reforms are limited to procedural tweaks, benefits are likely to be gradual, Officials said.

Officials said the consultation will take place during July 19–25, 2026; market participants should watch for initial inputs or a follow-up statement by July 25, 2026.
