New Lincoln Memorial Museum Opens June 25; Advance Tickets Available
A new 15,000-square-foot museum at the Lincoln Memorial will open June 25, with free advance tickets now available on recreation.gov.

After more than three years of construction, a new museum located beneath the iconic Lincoln Memorial is set to open its doors to the public on June 25. The 15,000-square-foot space will offer visitors a new way to engage with the history and legacy of Abraham Lincoln.
Free advance tickets for the museum became available on the recreation.gov website on Tuesday, May 27. These tickets allow guests to book tours up to 30 days in advance. While advance booking is recommended due to expected demand, same-day tickets may also be available on-site, with further information to be released closer to the opening date.
The museum is situated in the undercroft of the Lincoln Memorial, with access provided through the north side of the monument. All visitors will require a timed entry ticket to enter the museum, regardless of whether they possess a National Park Service pass. Specific details regarding any exceptions or on-site ticket availability will be announced by the National Park Service. The opening represents a significant addition to the cultural and historical offerings at one of Washington D.C.'s most visited landmarks.
