Government Coalition Faces Legislative Hurdles

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has officially removed Erhan Arıklı from his position as the Minister of Public Works and Transportation. This executive decision stems from an ongoing investigation into a maritime accident that occurred near the coast of Kyrenia.

In response to the dismissal of their party leader, the Rebirth Party (YDP) announced its immediate departure from the governing coalition. This political shift significantly alters the balance of power within the 50-seat legislative assembly.
