Pakistan to Set Fuel Prices Daily Amid Gulf Fighting

The minister thanked citizens for bearing the burden and said the decision followed a deterioration in regional security despite the efforts of the chief of defence forces and the prime minister, officials said. He warned the change would add strain on households but framed it as necessary for the state to align retail prices with wholesale moves.

Linking pump prices to daily international fluctuations raises the frequency of pass-through from crude and product markets to retail consumers and could increase short-term volatility in domestic petrol and diesel prices.
