The decisive game took place at the Spurs' home arena, the Frost Bank Center, denying San Antonio the opportunity to extend the series.
Knicks guard Jalen Brunson led his team with 45 points, setting a new franchise record for points in an NBA Finals game and earning the Finals Most Valuable Player award. The Knicks overcame a 16-point deficit in the second quarter and a 10-point deficit early in the fourth quarter.
