Israeli Strikes Kill Fourteen Across Gaza

Israeli military operations across the Gaza Strip resulted in at least 14 Palestinian deaths on Friday, including eight individuals killed during a drone strike on a funeral procession in the Nuseirat refugee camp. The strike, which occurred outside the Ahmad Yassin Mosque, also left at least 20 people injured, according to reports from Al-Awda Hospital.

The incident is part of a broader pattern of ongoing military activity despite a nominal ceasefire agreement established in October. Additional strikes were reported in Beit Lahia, Az-Zawayda, and Gaza City, targeting residential structures and areas housing displaced civilians. Data from the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data (ACLED) project indicates that Israeli strikes have intensified since May, reaching a monthly high of over 40 incidents in June.

The persistence of these operations continues to disrupt humanitarian conditions and infrastructure within the enclave. Reports suggest that the frequency of drone activity remains high, contributing to ongoing civilian casualties. The current escalation underscores the fragility of the existing ceasefire, as military engagements continue to occur on a near-daily basis across the territory.
