Ukraine Accused of Targeting TurkStream and Blue Stream Gas Facilities

Russian energy giant Gazprom announced on March 11, 2026, that Ukraine has launched 12 attacks over the past two weeks against facilities supplying natural gas to the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines. These incidents reportedly targeted the Russkaya, Beregovaya, and Kazachya compressor stations located in southern Russia.
According to Gazprom, Russian air defense systems successfully repelled all attacks, which the Russian Ministry of Defense stated were carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The company claims that no damage was sustained by the protected infrastructure due to the coordinated efforts of Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems.
Gazprom suggested the attacks aimed to disrupt gas flows to Europe. The announcement follows a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 4, where he accused Ukraine of harming Europe by attacking energy infrastructure and planning further assaults on the TurkStream and Blue Stream lines.
