Despite these inquiries, Carr stated that he has not received an offer compelling enough to prompt a comeback, maintaining that any return would require a specific opportunity with a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

The mechanism for a potential return remains complex due to Carr’s existing contractual status with the New Orleans Saints. Because Carr retired while under contract, any formal negotiation or contact from external organizations without prior authorization from the Saints would constitute a violation of NFL tampering regulations.
