Bulgaria Seeks US Aircraft Relocation from Sofia

Bulgaria's leadership has formally requested the United States relocate its military aircraft from Sofia's civilian airport to designated military installations. Prime Minister Rumen Radev emphasized that sufficient time has been provided to Washington for this transition, asserting that military assets should not operate from civilian hubs.

Radev, speaking to the press in Parliament, underlined that European nations supporting military operations, particularly those related to Iran, typically house such aircraft at military air bases. He stated his opposition to the continued presence of military aircraft within civilian airport perimeters.
