Mercedes-Benz VLE Debuts in U.S.

Mercedes-Benz will introduce its all-electric VLE luxury van to the American market in 2027, offering a high-end alternative to its existing commercial van lineup. This new model, built on an 800-volt electric architecture, aims to redefine the luxury people-mover segment in the U.S. by providing advanced customization options and premium features.

The VLE replaces the V-Class and features a modular interior with various seating configurations, including a "Roll & Go" system for flexible passenger and cargo arrangements. Key luxury amenities include a 31.3-inch 8K-resolution rear screen, remote-controlled massage seats, and a "cinema experience." The vehicle also offers multiple power, range, and drive-wheel options.

The driver's cockpit incorporates Mercedes-Benz's Superscreen, featuring a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and a 14-inch central infotainment touchscreen, with an optional second 14-inch passenger display. The system runs on the new MB.OS operating system with the latest MBUX software. An optional 23.1-inch augmented reality head-up display is also available.
