Ethics Policy
Atlas360 News follows a clear set of ethical commitments. They apply to every editor, contributor, and AI-assisted process in our newsroom.
آخر تحديث:
Independence and conflicts of interest
Editors and contributors disclose any financial, personal, or political interest that could reasonably be seen as influencing their coverage. Reporters do not cover companies they hold positions in, candidates they have donated to, or organisations they sit on the board of.
Accuracy and verification
We verify before we publish. Every fact must be supported by a primary source, a documented record, or two independent secondary sources. We do not publish rumours as fact, even when other outlets do.
Fairness and right of reply
When we report on a person or organisation that may be portrayed in an unfavourable light, we offer them a meaningful opportunity to respond before publication. Their response — or refusal to comment — is reflected in the story.
Use of AI
AI is used to assist reporting, never to fabricate sources, quotes, or events. AI-generated drafts are clearly labelled internally and are reviewed by a human editor before publication. We do not publish synthetic photos or audio that could be mistaken for real recordings without an explicit label.
Plagiarism and attribution
We do not republish another outlet's reporting without attribution. When we cite original work by another newsroom, we name them and link to the source.
Privacy and harm
We weigh the public interest against the harm publication could cause. We do not name minors involved in crime stories, victims of sexual violence, or private individuals not central to a public-interest story.
Sources and confidentiality
We protect the identity of confidential sources. We use anonymity only when on-the-record reporting would put the source at risk, and we explain to the reader why.
